The spiritual meaning of the apple is one of love and of the forbidden fruit.  Encouraging the essence of the Apple into your life will encourage good health.

The apple has been seen as a food from the Gods since the beginnings of time, in many cultures just as the acorn has been adopted so has the apple. Some American states have the apple as it's state flower, across Eur/Asia we find evidence of the apple being associated with the Gods. Greek legend has Aphrodite recieving the apple as a gift and from there comes many legends of the aphrodisiac qualities and also the food of temptation.

Tempted by the apple, man was compromised. Cut an apple in half to reveal the pentogram but only reveal the pentogram on a waxing moon to encourage good fortune. Eat the whole apple and spit the pips into a fire, if a name is spoken and the pip explodes then true love is to be. Sleeping Beauty. Sir Isaac Newton. William Tell are but a few of the British legends associated with the apple.

It is written that mans first food was the acorn and mans first gift of food is the apple, the apple means choice. If the question has not arisen then it is going to and very soon, you will have to make a tough choice but the outcome will be for the greater good.

As man has cultivated the crab apple there are now more than 2000 different types from the rich red colours to the yellows and of course greens. It is worth noting that these being the colours of the lower earth tied Chakras. It is also worth the thought that the apple is included in many health remedies for good reason. Just as the apple has been around from the beginning, so has the dog. The domesticated dog has as many different types as the apple and has been bred through the ages for specific purpose. To travel to Egypt or Persia the borders of the Celtic regimes and we find the cat increases in popularity but the further we travel North the more dependent we become on the dog. The Celtic Druid would have had a dog as companion and protector.

To this day travelling to the counties of Cornwall, Devon or Essex and you will find scrumpy served in measurements of quarts or halves to visitors, such is the potency of the cider. A fine cider will be served as clear as the day is long but a true scrumpy will have hidden depths known only to the brewer and locals. Many a badger/squirrel or wayward fox has become drunk tasting the delights of a fallen apple baked in sunlight.

To halve a crab apple side ways will reveal the pentogram, the four directions centred by you being the power of 5, also representing the four elements of earth, water, wind and fire and you becoming the fifth. Another belief system much closer to the Persian and Eastern cultures would be to include Wood as the fifth element or Tao believe wood and metal to make up the power of 5. From region to region the apple tree has been the cause of many a legend, the apple is not disputed as being sacred just as the power of 5 is not disputed as being ancient sacred power.
Slice an apple vertically and it will reveal a pentagram with the roundness of the apple it is an enclosed pentagram, a blessing from the gods. Druids would have pentagrams on the souls of their shoes, thus leaving blessings for all to find also meaning they did not walk anywhere that had not been blessed. Such was the druids appreciation for being close to sacred energy they walked with feet parallel to the ground, in a flat footed fashion instead of the now conventional method of heel-toe.
The Nordic cultures belief in the nine pips from within represent the nine worlds of Yggdrasill.

(Many burial sites have been found with hob nails close to the feet of the deceased, it is recorded by the Romans of how sandals were made. With bird feathers as in the making of the Tugen or feathers from the Reed as in crib linings, to line the soles of the sandals hob nail sandals would have also contibuted to the "druids" and many others walking with foot flat to the ground.)
