Making Spells and Creating Ritual
Bruce Clifton
How to write a spell and create a ritual is unique to you. A spell should always be for the best and the highest intention, each individual spell should be tailored to the specific needs of the spell. Traditional spells follow generic rules, the spell created by you will have a unique element. “YOU.” This one essential element to this spell cannot be over-rated, the difference between the spell working and the spell not working is dependent on this.
The ritual in gathering the ingredients is as important as the ritual to clear the space for the spell to begin. The first ingredient is you, the second ingredient is the intention, once the intention has been set then the ingredients can be decided and in what order they will be gathered.
A waning moon is a time for cutting ties and sending away, from full moon to new moon is a good time for clearing out old debris, old ways and ill intentions. Any preparation for new spells should be done on a waning moon, from full moon to new moon. All spells should always be cast with positivity and one way of doing it is to use natural positive energy, the waxing moon, from new moon to full moon. To include the waning moon when gathering ingredients and a waxing moon when casting will contribute to the success of the spell.
Sacred space is important for the quality of the spell, the full moon is perfect for cleansing space and creating a positive ambiance. To work with the waxing crescent, the waxing gibbous and to cast the spell on the light of the full moon is almost a guarantee of a successful spell. If all spells are cast under the light of the lighter side of the month and leading into the full moon the allurement will attract positive energies and in simple terms it will grow and continue to grow long after the spell has completed.
The reason witches are associated with a full moon and there are so many urban myths associated with the full moon is the simple fact that it is a time of maximum allurement. The magic of the full moon, the magic of the Fae, the magic of the enchantment that follows the full moon. After the full moon it is quiet as energies are gathered, this was a major contributing factor because fear was developed and cultured and the false belief was the full moon was the cause.
Just as there are four phases to the moon there are four directions and four elements, the significant factor that holds them together and makes each and every one unique is you.
