From the East, the Equator, the Southern Hemisphere, Air is Green it is most powerful from the North in Summer. Air is the essence of accomplishment, it is all accomplishing (White) it represents fearlessness, protection, mental clarity, (Green) The Northern Hemisphere, Western society relates: Air blowing from the West and is promoted from the South with the heat of the sun and the divine Masculine.
For the alchemist, spellcaster, witch, wizard or weavers of energy: The blend of energy at the Autumn Equinox sees the change in energy from male to female, from Sun to Moon, from South to North. As the wind changes, so does perspective:

Knowing the seasons and understanding the power of the elements encourages alchemy to always work for the best and highest ability. The power of the gentlest breeze or lightest breath should be utilized always. The power of dying can come from the last breath.

Air is recognised within the swords, deemed to be masculine and here in the western society from the West. It is the freedom of movement and lack of ties, a single sword portrayed within the Tarot as the Ace handed down from clouds as a gift from spirit. A single sword cuts away all restrictions, all bonds and liberates and creates freedom.
Air and Fire are influenced by the Sun and the divine masculine, coming from the West and the South.
