Water Spirit

Key Words:
Purity – Reflection - Passive

What is the spiritual meaning of Water?
Blue is the colour of incompatible energy, White being the reflection and purity that resolves all conflict. A flowing river is fluid and adaptable, capable of reaching out and creating harmony among all things.

Why does Water appear now?
Emotions and confusion is causing distress. Water is a gentle reminder that beneath the largest waves, is a calm and undisturbed place. The temporary violence of a storm and crashing waves will be replaced by a perfect calming reflection.

How do I call upon Water Spirit?
Bathe and reflect, drink and have pure thought, dip your toe and contemplate the ripples you cause.

From the East, the Equator and the Southern Hemisphere, water is Blue and is most powerful when flowing from the East in Winter. White Water is a reflection of all that is real and all that belongs to a perceived reality. The brilliance of a reflection (White) illuminates’ ignorance. (Blue)

Western society and culturally in the northern hemisphere, water is blue, clear, white or green and is most powerful in the East in the spring, it is promoted by Earth in the North and Air in the West, it is controlled by Fire in the South and Air in the West.

For the alchemist, spellcaster, witch, wizard or weavers of energy: Water is the purifier and passive controller. Bringing fire to water allows water vapourise, purify and to travel, but taking water to fire and the fire is extinguished. Harmony happens within all things given the time, place and circumstance.

Allowing water to travel down a mountain and it will take the path of least resistance, over time it will create its own space. Water can freeze and gently cut through a mountain, vapourise and travel over it, passive perseverance succeeding over brute force and violence.

Emotion is often likened to an ocean storm with waves crashing and the forces of nature imposing their might but, beneath the waves is a gentle subtle persistence where the water achieves greater things.

The Tarot is an amazing tool for divination recognised throughout many cultures. Water is represented as the divine feminine, it is the chalice that holds the water, water is also perceived as emotion with the numbers representing the amount of emotion involved. The Ace being a chalice held by the hand of spirit and given to you as a gift from the Gods.

Water and Earth are influenced by the moon and the divine feminine, coming from the East and the North. (northern hemisphere) Fire and Air are influenced by the Sun and the divine masculine, coming from the South and the West. When all of these are in alignment and balanced the Aetheric energy surrounding you is in total harmony, this is the point where the impossible becomes possible and time, place and circumstance create their own 'happenance.'

Since the beginning of time the animal kingdom including us have related to the four directions and four elements. Here in the Northern Hemisphere we relate to:
North    / East    /  South  /   West  - Horizontal
Earth   / Water  /    Fire   /    Wind  - Aether
Winter / Spring /  Summer / Autumn – Year
Lunar / Dawn   / Mid- day / Dusk – Horizontal

Earth, Wind, Fire and Water as Elements. We relate the associated directions as North, West, South and East, with the seasons being Winter, Autumn, Summer and Spring.
The natural power we can attune to with natural perception or through meditation, all of us have a natural ability to aspire to be a better person then we were yesterday. The art of alchemy = The transfer of energy we generate to natural.
