Key Words:
Nonchalance' - Love Life - Care free

What is the spiritual meaning or essence of Seahorse?

Seahorse brings a sense of happy-go-lucky, enjoy everything, make it your purpose.

Why does the Seahorse appear now?
Seahorse is a reminder to go with the flow, it could be that there are to many situations where you are pushing water up hill.

How do I call upon Seahorse?
Set the intention to dream of the ocean and call upon the Seahorse, Mermaid, Selkie.

If the Seahorse appears in your dreams it is to bring calm to a situation, it will encourage a more laid back approach. If you are riding the Seahorse it is encouraging you into abandonment of the serious issues surrounding you. If your life is stressful a ride on Seahorse will entertain and amuse you, encourage you into a state of blissful nonchalance.

Are you content with what you have? Are you constantly trying to achieve? Seahorse goes with the flow of the water, water will always take its easiest route, it has no awareness, it has no vision. Water will get where it is supposed to be, it might not be where it wants to be but it gets where it is supposed to be... Seahorse understands the difference between the two and is happy to accept it.

Seahorse is also an escort into the afterlife. As an emblem on ships it brings safety in a storm. A tattoo on sailors brings good luck at sea. A necklace for loved ones to bring their partner back. The Ancient Gods associated with the seas are Poseidon and Neptune both powerful masculine figures who controlled the seas.

Seahorse navigates stormy waters and the emotional rollercoaster of life by going with the flow or riding the crest of the wave. Guiding its followers, encouraging them to leave what is dragging them behind. The waves are on the surface of the ocean so by going deeper the savagery and violence of the storm is avoided.

The male Seahorse carries the eggs for the female until they are ready to hatch, he chooses his partner and stays with her for life. As masculine as he is, as nonchalant as he is, as carefree and feckless as he appears to be, his devotion to his partner and family responsibilities do not waver. He is never more content than with his family.

Poseidon and Neptune stem from the Greek / Roman Gods with each carrying a Trident and a broad association with Horses. Each able to adapt from springs, streams and freshwater lakes out into the oceans and taking charge of the ocean storms. Neptune is associated with Dolphins and healing, Poseidon more-so with otherworldly creatures. The romantics of Ancient Greece attached the Seahorse to their legacies, the underwater tombs reflecting their adaptability.
