Spiritual Animal ~ Totem ~ Animal

Fox

Key Words
Change - Invisible - Resourceful

What is the Spiritual Meaning or Essence of the Fox?

The fox is the silent one, the observer. The fox will gather information until it is satisfied that it can utilise it to maximum efficiency. The fox is sly, cunning and will more often than not: serve its own purpose before others.

Why does the Fox appear now?
The Fox is a powerful ally, to have the fox as a spirit guide; it will teach you the power of being selfish, to put yourself first: The fox will teach you the power of you and to see the world from another point of view. The phrase 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer' was probably created by the fox.

How do I call upon Fox?
The She Fox: The Vixen is all seeing and all knowing, she is the echo that follows the moon, the shadow you did not see. The Vixen will appear when she is needed and will make herself known only to you.

Dreamtime.
When the Fox appears in a dream he is telling you to be cautious of the people around you. When the vixen appears in your dreams she is showing you a situation for your benefit.

The fox is the silent one, the watcher, the observer. They remain independent throughout their lives, they provide for themselves and are happy to do so.

The Vixen will choose a fox to serve her, until she decides he is no longer needed. The partnership is of her choosing, on her terms and for her purpose. The vixen is bigger than the fox and she has high expectations of him for the short time that she will allow him to grace her presence.

The fox will stand in full view and not be seen until he wants to be seen. The majesty of the fox is one of solitary pride, they are there to be adored. The red fur at the height of summer, the rich mane and full tail that has attracted admiration from all. The serene smile and enigmatic look that is paled only by the full moon in a winter sky is seen only by those it wants to attract.

The Fox and the Vixen by mutual consent have no ego, their partnership survives on a mutual appreciation of vanity & being selfish. They expect nothing from each other and their independence is the basis of their survival.

If Fox appears suddenly; he brings a personal message and a warning about the people around you. If she appears suddenly; she is the teacher and will teach you the ways of the vixen, it isn't wrong to put yourself first.

Fox will teach servitude and move quietly away, only you will know he was ever there.
She teaches to quietly assume the role required, how to quietly take control. As daughter, mother, grand-mother, crone and queen, her passive nature has won many battles, through cunning, devious and sly manipulation.

It is their presence that is missed, they bought calm to a situation, peace to a crisis, their slow and gentle resolve made things easier for all to succeed, but it was after they were no longer around that their self gratification was recognised. Their quiet salutation to you and to the hoards of people that did not see them until they were not there, is that they created their own success...

They do not judge you, they do not deserve to be judged.
