Arch-Angel Uriel

Bruce Clifton
A beautiful angel of light against a violet, purple backdrop, a flourescent shadow with orbs dappled into the foreground.
arch-angel-uriel, stands ready wearing a red cloak with olive green tunic, four wings and wil guard the Gates of Tartarus ensuring no one comes out.
Ancient figure of angel standing with palms open surrounded by colours and with colours radiating from palms and the main chakras within.
Who is Arch-Angel Uriel?
Arch-Angel Uriel guards the gate to the Garden of Eden. Prevents anyone opening the Gates of Tartarus.

What is Arch-Angel Uriels purpose?
Arch-Angel Uriel is Earth tied, he brings calm to the storm.

Why is Arch-Angel Uriel here?
Arch-Angel Uriel brings poetry, rhyme, reason to the forefront. He provides support and spreads divine light in front of you.

Arch-Angel Uriel is known as the Earth Angel he stands in the North between the gates of Eden and Tartarus. The power of Empathy allows him to see all life. The acceptance of repentance without judgement allows him to promote all life.

Arch-Angel Uriel stands in the North facing South, grasping a sword embedded into the Earth with his right hand, and harbouring the disc of knowledge to his breast with his left hand.
Uriel is known across the Celtic and Nordic nations, depicted in art, spoken of in fables and welcomed as a Diety.

In robes of citrine, russet, olive and black Arch-Angel Uriel has appeared as all things to all people, from the caves of Siberia to the tombs of Egypt, from the gardens of Babylon to the Sacred Stones of the Druids, drawings of Uriel can be found in his many guises.
Hermes Trismegistus and the hermetic principles, from ancient Greece, to Egypt and carried forward by Rome Auriel has been recognised. Sacred places, ancient rituals associated with Earth, the harvest, prosperity with land, food and farmers.

Thunder, lightening, the storm and terror that comes from such energy is quelled and calmed by Uriel, the colours of his robe matching the colours of the storm before he reveals himself, the clours of Citrine inside the cloak match that of the sun, the reds of his shirt, the golds of his disc as he sets his sword deep into the Earth and the energy of the storm is dispersed as a new beginning unfolds. Where there was terror, there is now Empathy. Where there was judgement now repentence.

Auriel is recognised within the folds of the Hermetic Qabalah, from nothing came a thought, from that thought came movement, from that movement came manifestation. Auriel is recognised as one of many and as such many polytheistic religions and non religious factions accept him as a deity or idol.

In Tarot the 22 major arcana are associated with the 22 paths of the Hermetic Qabalah walked by the Fool being the Zero or 22nd card. The divine light is the path in this tree of life, it is Auriel (The Fool) that spreads this divine light and the journey to enlightenment, divinity and GOD.
The flashes of light as he quells the storm are ten in number and the qabalistic tree of life is formed, the lightening striking the Earth is the manifestation of movement, that originated from thought.

The Celtic Druids of Britain accepted Uriel as their leader of bards, the poet laureate or inspirer of lore. An Earth Angel who ensured all earth tied sentients are equal, the dryads, elves, fairies, nymphs and sylphs are no more or less important han each other, all sentient life forms are equal in the eyes of the lore. The lunar cycle and the power of the night against day remain forever equal.

The Ancient Egyptians of the same era and of an age long before, accepted Thoth or Ma'at as God of writing, magic, wisdom and the moon. Divine balance at the core of their belief system. Thoth forever in their thoughts and as the upholder of truth, creator of the Tarot, the book of Thoth. Both Thoth and Ma'at carry a gold disc, a book, and were self created from thought.

Uriel transcends the density of physical reality, self, all relatives to self and all elements of reality as is known.

Auriel in his many guises has appeared in many cultures and been idolised by more than is known. Uriel has been acknowledged as many things including:
Angel.
Angel incarnate.
Archangel.
Ascended Master.
Bard.
Creator.
Deity.
Face of God.
God.
Idol.
Poet.

Uriel favours the role as Arch-Angel, with the ability to appear as all things to all life force streams, to be able to assist and influence when asked, to be able to speak and be heard. As an ascended master Arch-Angel Uriel has shared many lifetimes and many experiences.
