What is an aura?
The Aura is an energy field that surrounds the body, it is made up of layers of varying density and as such the particles of light in each layer display different colours relating to the body.

Each and every layer represents many things including the life or lives of the thing it surrounds, the layers are also multi-dimensional and can be enhanced or released. The layers also represent health, the health of the object it is attached too.

By understanding the aura as healers we can encourage people to lead more fruitful and prosperous lives, as patients we can be led into doing things differently in order to regain our natural state of being and our physical health.

The aura is made up of the fields of energy that surround our physical body. We are linked to the past, the present, the future and connected to the spiritual world and all things natural. An understanding of our aura promotes self awareness and enables us to link body, mind and spirit together. Body, mind and spirit being the three core structures of self.

The aura is made up of many parts and depending on the culture very much depends on how it is interpreted. There is no dispute by the medical or scientific establishments that the aura or life force field exists around every living thing.

My definition of ”living” is something that has an energy value whether it be, animal, vegetable, mineral, and to include places, mountains, fields, buildings all have an energy value and all create an aura of their own. We cannot mention places without a mention of sacred places, Chalice Well, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, the stone circles. There is without doubt a sacred place near you, where the natural energies will be in harmony with the surroundings.

Inter-stit-ium is being discussed more and more in the medical scientific profession, it is being suggested that there is a fluid surrounding every part of the human anatomy and it is this fluid that is key to health. Western culture is now exploring something the "pagans" of the world have known for thousands of years. Interstitium is not a fluid that can be measured, it is an energy that ebbs and flows around all things. "Interstitum" isn't something that has just been discovered, it is the aura, it is life force energy. I will be happy to save the medical scientific research communities millions of pounds by showing them what it is and where to find it.

The Aura surrounding these places will be felt by many, to imagine listening, feeling and approaching an orchestra and to be able to follow the vibrations and harmonies to their source, to then discover not an orchestra but nature as it is supposed to be enjoyed, this will give you an idea of the power behind the aura.

A nuclear power station or wind farm will not necessarily have a big aura because of the amount of energy produced they will have a big aura because of the harmony that comes from them.
The human aura carries the same responses, in the sense that a person who lives an enriching harmonious life will touch many people with their aura, and their aura will touch others and will affect all living things before the actual person does. The effect of this is that because of the harmony created by one aura touching another aura both auras will balance become brighter and will expand.
To sit in the company of a spiritual person is enriching to both, oneself because of the recognition and them self because the effort hasn’t been ignored meaning both auras will balance and grow.
To explore the holistic values of the aura is impossible and yet we have cameras available that can produce photos, we have instruments that can detect the electro-magnetic pulses of the aura but this is all they do… The human aura is about our spiritual depths, it is about who we are and what we are, it can be used as a measurement of our progress spiritually and it is a reflection of who we actually are.

It is said that Buddha had an Aura seven miles wide and could be felt by thousands of people. Some people have an aura that is contained within 6 inches and is so dense that the person inside the aura is either incredibly hostile or very ill. To sit in one’s own power and enjoy the solitude of being at peace with the three elements of self, the body, the mind and the spiritual self will have a very deliberate cause. The aura surrounding self will expand and enrich the surrounding aura’s which will compliment self and also compliment others, the effect of this is harmony leading to continued success.
To sit in your own power, meditation, mindfulness, astral travel, trance, dream state or to simply pause and think of a happy thought is to name but a few of the ways to become as one with the environment. One of these or all of them will contribute towards self harmony and the harmony of surrounding energies.

The seven colours of the rainbow start with the colour purple nearest the Earth and the colour Red nearest the Heavens, the human aura by no coincidence starts with the colour Red nearest the source and finishes with the colour Purple nearest the Heavens. The two purples being closest together, yet another sign from our ancient ancestors that the exploration of their wisdom is only just becoming known and validated by science.
The human aura is an energy field that surrounds our physical body, it is made up of layers of varying density and as such the particles of light display different colours relating to us. The density of each layer represents our life or lives, the layers are also multi-dimensional and can be enhanced or released. By understanding the aura as healers, we can encourage people to lead more fruitful and prosperous lives, as patients we can be led into doing things differently in order to regain our natural state of being and to physically maintain our health.
To look around at the world leaders of today and we discover them to have purple aura’s, to look at a recent Prime Minister of Great Britain and we discover that not only was his aura purple but he employed a modern day shaman who would cleanse his house and use crystals, aromatherapy and other holistic methods to keep the energies surrounding the prime minister harmonious.

The human Aura consists of the seven colours of the rainbow, (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Purple) also white, silver, gold and smudges of all the colours mixed together sometimes producing colours by mixing the colours. Each of the seven colours of the aura relate to one of the seven main Chakras within the human body, with each Chakra (Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, Crown) producing energy relating to our physical, mental and spiritual needs.

The Halo is the aura surrounding the head. It is separate to the aura surrounding the body in the sense that it can be seen as separate but it is connected, to consider the mind and body and spirit as individual units would be wrong but to consider them as a whole would also be wrong because without one the others could not exist.
The halo is a very important part of the aura, through the halo the whole aura can be "sensed." The healers amongst us can find disturbances in the halo then go to the aura to validate the findings and heal, the opposite can also be said and to go to the body and find a disturbance within the aura can often be validated within the halo.
To make this easier to understand would be to identify the halo as the mind and the aura as the body, if the two work together perfectly in harmony then both halo and aura would be in total harmony. BUT it needs to be said that this is an analogy to help with the general understanding.

When talking about the aura and the halo, it is easy to be confused with colour and only seeing colour and what if the colours are not clear of if they are mixed and murky? To a lesser degree it does not matter if colours are not clear and it does not matter if they are murky or appear muddy. “It is rare to see an absolutely crystal clear rainbow but this does not take away its beauty.” Some healers have never seen colour but can describe an aura using other senses, when using the hands off technique and using the hands to scan the aura the differing textures will frequently provide more information to the healer than merely looking at the colours. By the healer using their hands and scanning the patients halo then aura, amazing amounts of information can be gathered concerning the health of the patient being scanned.

Another method of scanning an aura for the purpose of healing is to use bi-location healing. This involves the healer moving their energies into the aura of the patient and personally experiencing the patients aura before returning their energies back into their own aura. This method does not involve colour and is the pure sensory perception of the healer. This method makes balancing and exercising the aura of the patient quicker and more effective, it serves a purpose if the patient is likely to be distressed or confused by the physical act of scanning the aura.

A balanced aura normally means the physical body is balanced and well tuned ready for the day ahead. This can be likened to a vehicle with a flat tyre, the vehicle is not running at optimal performance. Most people over the age of 5 will be able to identify the problem. This is true with the aura, if there is something untoward or something not right then most people know that it is not right, from being lethargic and feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders to not being able to smile and not know the reason why. Most people will know that something is amiss but will not relate to the aura not being at optimal performance. To spend a moment of deliberate intent to clear the aura will potentially clear the lethargy, ease the weight, turn the frown upside down into a smile. To take a sip of water and set the intention of a beautiful, clear, balanced and attractive aura could be the difference between enjoying a bright and beautiful day or a trip to the doctors and spending time in the Drs surgery wasting precious time.

The Chakras are our psychical energy centres within the human body that link us to the greater awareness of self, after self awareness, spiritual awareness will follow, after spiritual awareness comes spiritual community awareness. This is followed by the discovery of our greater potential both personally and as a group.

The Aura should be considered as a part of the physical body and as such should be looked after and respected.
Understanding and inviting naturally occurring synchronicities into our life force streams will enhance and develop our whole being and by looking after and developing our aura, our lives improve and continue to do so.

Without regular maintenance the aura can become tired and can physically show the signs of old age, with holes appearing, spaces between the fields developing and colours fading and mingling when they shouldn’t. Without doubt if a hole appears in the aura and remedial action is not taken then a physical symptom will make itself known within the human body. An emotion like anger will cause the aura to shrink, the effect on the halo is to make it very dense, the effect on the human body is a headache, if the Aura does not relax and expand because the anger continues for days then a density will appear around the stomach area, Solar Plexus or Sacral Chakra. The stomach also known as gut instinct will be affected so feeling sick and nauseous would be an expected result of this.

My children have grown into adults but one of my favourite times of my day was bedtime stories, to settle them in bed and tell them a story, to put them to sleep with a smile, means they invariably woke up with a smile. Our aura grew and also our individual aura grew, in times of trouble I think of these times and I am able to turn my frown upside down into a smile and once again my aura grows.

How to see an Aura.
There are a number of ways to see an aura, with practice it is possible to develop the eyes to a level where seeing an aura becomes second nature.

How to see an Aura (people)
The Aura of a person can be seen if you stand at the end of a street and watch someone walk past you, once they are about 10 feet away and someone else is following them look at the person following them but be aware of the person you are watching and you will become aware of their energy field, almost like steam surrounding them. The aura surrounding the head is easiest to see and as long as the person remains within your eyeline their aura will become clearer to the point of where you can identify colours. Dont try and see their aura because by concentrating you will lose the "soft" focus.

How to see an Aura (trees)
An aura surrounding a tree can be seen by looking at two trees... As described with the people, the smaller tree should be a short distance in front of the other. The distance between the two will depend on how your eyes focus and what distance you are from the larger tree. Position yourself 10 paces from the larger tree and so that if you step sideways the smaller tree will disappear behind the larger tree. Look at the smaller tree and study the finer detail of it, the line of the bark, the shape of the leaves, the quantity of leaves, how the tree moves in the breeze. Be aware of it but look at the larger, closer tree and the aura from the smaller tree will reveal itself to you.

How to see an Aura (personal)
Your aura or energy field can be seen if you place your hands together so that finger tips and thumbs are joined but create a space between the palms.
Imagine a ball of energy sitting in that space between your palms and seperate the fingertips, as you seperate the fingertips you will see silver or grey seams of energy joining the fingertips. As you develop your "sight" you will be able to see the energy surrounding your hands, your arms and you will be able to see the energy surrounding the hair of other people, this will develop into seeing the whole aura around all living things.

How to see an Aura (nature)
The Aura surrounding all living things will vary depending on location, mood, time of day, season and or the things going on around it.
A Birch tree will start lighting up before the first snow, late November and it will be turning blue. As the buds start forming the tips of this tree and the joints of the branches from the trunk will be radiating a blueish tint. The same can be said for the pine, the pine tree will glow before first snow, the tip of every leaf glows. As spring develops and we move towards late February, early March the Birch tree will flourish with lots of blues, yellows and hints of very light purple. An easy way to see the aura of a Birch tree is to look through the leaves at the trunk, if you concentrate on the trunk then the colours of the aura surrounding it, will become apparent.
